Each time you go up to bat it is possible you will face a situation you’ve never experienced before. There are many factors that play into each at bat. In order to be prepared for each new hitting situation, you have to be willing to be focused, disciplined and ready to work hard. The guys who work hard end up hitting the ball better.

I played against Todd Helton when I was in high school in the state of Tennessee and I remember hearing from several sources that Todd literally worked his tail off each and every day. Whether with his team or with his dad, Helton focused and worked hard on his hitting. Look where it’s got him now. He is a career .324 hitter with 332 home runs, 526 doubles and 1,236 RBIs. I would say his hard work paid off.
